Headaches are a common complaint in today's society with is plenty of stress to go around for everyone.  But did you know that not all headaches are created equal? There are actually several types of headaches, here's an overview of a few of them:


Temple Headaches


This headache manifests itself as a dull are sharp pain in the temples and is thought to be caused by trigger points in the trapezius muscle. Sometimes these can be relieved by massaging this muscle along the collarbone, the sides of the neck and when the shoulder meets the neck.


Tension Headaches


These headaches are caused by stress so, of course, can be relieved by eliminating stress.  Either avoid stressful situations or if you find that you have a tension headache because of stress treated by relaxing in a warm bath with soft lighting and soothing music.


Migraine Headaches


These are the worst and can actually be debilitating.  Sufferers of migraine headaches experience sharp pain, nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, dizziness and a host of other symptoms.


Sinus Headache


Along with the aches and pains from cold and flu you might also become the victim of a sinus headache.  These can be quite painful.  If you feel like your head is stuffed with cotton and you have pain in the cheekbones and sinuses menu might be experiencing one.  A sinus headache can also cause toothache.
